Sweet dreams are made of this… An evening of Annie Lennox’s iconic music in an intimate spectacle of wild theatrical escapism.
LENNOX is a plunge into the anthemic music of Lennox and the Eurythmics in a captivating theatrical rock concert setting. The dynamic three-piece ensemble features Imogen Cygler on Synth and Strings, Ash Griffin on Guitar and stars Chris Burgess (‘Meow Meow’s Pandemonium’, ‘Memoirs of Mr Spaceman’) as Diva. LENNOX is returning after a SOLD-OUT SEASON for Melbourne Cabaret Festival 2021.
“The most well-deserved applause of the festival” – Australian Arts Review
“A star in the making… an entertainer extraordinaire” – The Blurb
A thrilling hour of outspoken housewives and lamenting angels, LENNOX features hits like ‘Little Bird’, ‘Walking On Broken Glass’, ‘Why’ and many more. If you are a fan of fabulous costume changes, gorgeous reimaginings of classic hits, and heavenly rock-star vocals, this hour-long tribute to Lennox and her wild artistry is a must see.
Chris Burgess is a Narrm based cabaret artiste, professional music theatre performer and a practicing yoga teacher. A graduate from VCA Music Theatre with Honours, Chris recently performed with Meow Meow and the MSO at Hamer Hall in ‘Meow Meow’s Pandemonium’, wrote and starred in a self-devised cabaret ‘Take Me To Dinner First’ at Tusk High Bar and is currently exploring the intersection of therapy and performance practice in facilitating guided acting classes.
